Masterclass laureates Cultural Management Thesis Award 2024
Each year, the Fund for Cultural Management alternates between awarding an outstanding Master thesis and/or a Doctoral Study. This year a master's thesis was awarded. With this initiative the Fund aims to enhance the quality of research in cultural management and to share academic knowledge with cultural practices while providing opportunities for young researchers. In 2024, three candidates were nominated for the award.
After careful consideration, the jury selected a winner: Adam Lybaert from the University of Antwerp, for his thesis European Media Freedom Act: economic and policy implications of articles 4, 5, and 19.
The two other nominations went to Clara Raquel Mealha Antunes from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, for her thesis Prospecting otherwise: stirring culture's role in tackling the climate emergency, and Marianna Lörincz from Erasmus University Rotterdam, for her work on Entrepreneurial skill development through improvisation theater practices: arts-based method usage for improving entrepreneurial competencies
