Oproep Cultural Heritage Forum

2018 was het Europees Jaar van het Cultureel Erfgoed. In onze eigen regio maar ook elders in Europa werden allerlei initiatieven van samenwerking en sectoroverschrijdende dialoog op touw gezet. Om die positieve boodschap verder te blijven uitdragen, roept de Europese Commissie experten op om hun kennis en ervaring te blijven delen in een platform voor advies en informatie over erfgoedbeleid.

De Europese Commissie lanceert daarom een oproep tot kandidaturen voor het Cultural Heritage Forum. Deadline is 21 mei 2019:

"We are pleased to inform you that we have just launched an open call for applications to join the Cultural Heritage Forum, foreseen in the European Framework for Action on Cultural Heritage. This open call is addressed to representative of European organisations active in the field of culture and cultural heritage and individuals having an extensive expertise in protection, management and enhancement of cultural heritage.

The Cultural Heritage Forum will maintain the spirit of cooperation and policy dialogue achieved during the European Year of Cultural Heritage. Its objective will be to provide advice and expertise to the Commission, as well as to serve as a platform for consultation and exchange of information on cultural heritage policies. Its overall purpose is to promote public policies that ensure the long-term value and sustainability of Europe's cultural heritage based on an integrated approach. It will meet at least once a year and will follow the implementation of the European Framework for Action on Cultural Heritage.

The Forum will be composed of circa 70 experts, including Member States representatives, representatives of cultural heritage stakeholders organisations, individual experts and representatives of international organisations.

Please note that to become member of the Forum, one has to submit an official application - this applies to all parties, including members of the 2018 EYCH stakeholder committee (excepts for international organisations such as UNESCO and the Council of Europe and for EU Member States, who will appoint one representative per country in a separate process)."
